8 Point Art Cafe is an art gallery that invites you to escape with its art, architecture and delicious cuisine. This is the first international standard art cafe in the city of Kollam.
The place offers a café with delicious delicacies and also a Little Free Library with around 50 books. Here, readers can take any book without paying a fee by keeping another book. The place is also a centre of cultural events, performances and exhibitions.
Famous muralist and art director Mr. Shenley had taken the Parambarya building from Kollam DTPC(District Tourism promotion Council) for five years to set-up this art cafe. Now the art cafe is home for various exhibitions, performing arts and other events.
The name ‘eight-point’ represents the eight creeks of Ashtamudi Lake and the eight art forms incorporated in the gallery.
